We all know those “born” leaders.  They have the innate ability to inspire and motivate, communicate, bring people together and empower them, be open to new ideas without feeling threatened and they develop their team to be the next leaders in the organization.  Others, on the other hand, need to be taught how to be better leaders.  Our online training does just that!

Our second podcast focuses on tips to strengthen your culture through the recruiting process.  Both employers and potential employees have a responsibility to make sure that the culture is a cohesive fit.

Our first podcast focuses on tips to jump start your business in 2018; that is, develop your strategic plan and begin the process of aligning your organization for the new year.

I like sports.  I’m not that person that knows the name of every player, can rattle off every statistic or has the ability to predict every play, but I do like to watch sports.  I’m also a New York Mets fan (no comments, please!).  The Mets made it to the World Series in 2015 and had a decent season in 2016 (but who really could compete with the Cubs’ destiny!).  2017 was suppose to be our year.  We had the highest rated pitching staff in the league, good power at the plate and made some good trades to position us well on both the offensive and defensives sides of the ball.  We had developed our strategy and were ready to execute!

As we have written over and over again, successful organizations don’t happen by chance.  It takes a comprehensive, focused and collaborative effort across all within an organization to drive success.  Increased growth and improved profitability are for those that manage their business; not for those that let their business manage them.

What this means is it’s time to begin to think about next year; as is the case with most things in life, business growth is not a sprint, but a marathon.  We need to develop your strategic plan, create concrete actions to make your strategy tangible, align your people to accomplish these goals, drive process improvement and, in the process, develop your team to be great leaders.  By ongoing, proactive management of actions and results, we can embed all of these in your organization for years to come.  All of these, collectively, not individually, will drive your success!

Technology is awesome!  For the most part, we are now connected to everyone, always.  Think about how much more productive we are as a result of it.  Whether it be from a personal perspective or a professional perspective, we have the ability to get what we want done, when we want it done.

Unfortunately, there are a number of negatives that have come along with the technological advancements in communication.  We have heard about them over and over again.  This article is not about all of them, so I will not go into the litany of the cons.  However, I do want to focus on one in particular.
